Arrest of pro-Khalistan militant from Maharashtra, involved in several anti-India activities

A pro-Khalistan militant has been arrested from Maharashtra's Nanded district. The militant was nabbed by the Punjab CID team and Maharashtra police in a joint operation on Sunday but was not disclosed as investigations into anti-India activities were ongoing. The arrested terrorist has been identified as Sarabjit Singh Kirat. Police said he was a resident of Ludhiana district in Punjab.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh police, in collaboration with Punjab police, arrested pro-Khalistan militant Paramjit Singh Pamma and Jagdev Singh alias Jagga, an ally of Maltani Singh. It is learned that Jagga is the right hand of Khalistani terrorist Paramjit Singh Pamma and Maltani Singh. His name has been implicated in a number of anti-national activities and a total of nine cases, including the Arms Act, are pending against him in other districts, including Amritsar.
