Activist Disha Raveen granted bail in tool kit case, ordered to pay Rs 1 lakh

A Delhi court today granted bail to Disha Ravin, a Bangalore-based activist, in a controversial tool kit case. However, the court also ordered a deposit of Rs 1 lakh against the bail.

In the toolkit case, Delhi Police today questioned Disha Ravi and two other persons believed to be involved in the preparation of the kit, Nikita Jacob and Shantanu.

The Delhi Police had yesterday sought extension of Disha Raveena's remand. Following the police's demand, the court extended the remand for one day. Ordered to pay Rs 1 lakh.

According to the Delhi Police, Disha has dropped all the charges against Shantanu and Nikita. Activist Disha Ravin was arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of making a tool kit to provoke the peasant movement. According to police, a man named M O Dhaliwal, who lives in Canada, wanted to provoke agitation in India.

Since he did not want to be directly involved, he resorted to some people in India. The tool kit for the movement mentioned when and how to provoke the movement and this tool kit was edited by Disha Ravi. Police allege that the evidence was tampered with by the direction.
