Without subsidy, MPs will now have to pay for expensive, veg thali and non veg thali.

Parliament's budget session is set to begin on February 29. However, ministers and MPs will now have to spend more to canteen meals during the budget session in Parliament.

The government has re-announced the list after removing the subsidy on dishes available in the Parliament canteen. Veg buffet will be available at Rs 500 and non-veg buffet at Rs 700. The cheapest is only bread, which costs three rupees.

The government has announced a new list of a total of 57 dishes with new prices. The prices of dishes other than veg and non-veg buffet have gone up. A plate will cost Rs 50 and two pieces of dalwada will cost Rs 30, while a cheese dish will cost Rs 60.

Thus, the prices of all the dishes have gone up. Before these dishes, due to the subsidy, the MPs could get food even by spending only four or five rupees.
