- Millions of people expressed displeasure over the privacy policy

New Delhi Dated 16th January 2021 Saturday

WhatsApp's new privacy policy has been on hold for three months now. Millions of people around the world were offended when WhatsApp announced a new privacy policy.

At one point, WhatsApp itself felt that its rival would win like Telegram, so it avoided the implementation of its new privacy policy for now. "On February 8, no one will have to delete their WhatsApp account," he said in a statement. We have not decided to delete any account and we do not plan to do so in the future.

The manager of the app, which is run by the owners of Facebook, further said that we are going to take some action in the near future to make people more aware of how privacy and security work. The implementation of our new policy will be announced on May 15. Until then no one needs to delete their WhatsApp account.

The company claimed that there was some misunderstanding among our users about the privacy policy. We have to remove that misconception so we are not going to implement a new privacy policy for three months now. Before the new update option becomes available on May 15, we will take steps to clear up the misconceptions in people's minds.

Earlier it was announced that every user will have to accept the new privacy policy of WhatsApp or delete their account on February 8th. Many users have now started adopting the Telegram app instead of waiting for February. After seeing that, WhatsApp realized that something was cut raw. So now WhatsApp has suspended the implementation of its new privacy policy for three months.
