What is the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution?

-This provision is a move to remove Trump immediately

-Democrats themselves agree on this point

In the wake of Thursday's violence and sabotage of Capitol Hill by supporters of incumbent President Donald Trump in the United States, the move to remove Trump before his term expires under the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution has intensified. There was a move to impeach Trump if this constitutional amendment was not implemented.

The move was reportedly agreed by Trump's own Democratic senators as Thursday's violence brought America into disrepute around the world. Now it will be interesting to know what the 25th amendment to the constitution is. This amendment was added to the US Constitution in 1967. The bottom line is that the president fails to do the right thing. Or if he is not efficient in doing so, the president dies during the presidency or the president resigns, the vice president can be given the power and responsibility of the president. The power to elect a new Vice President was vested in Parliament and the President jointly. Responsibility for the work of the President may be delegated to anyone other than the President under this amendment.

In 1973, the then Vice President of the United States, Spiro Agnew, resigned. The amendment at the time made Richard Nixon the new vice president. Richard Nixon later became president. However, under this constitutional amendment Gerald Ford became the first vice president. Article 3 of the 25th Amendment allowed the President to delegate all his responsibilities to the Vice President. The provision came into force in 1985 when then-President Ronald Reagan underwent bypass surgery. Reggie handed over his responsibility to the vice president. The same clause was applied in 2002 and 2007 when then-President George W. Bush was given anesthesia.

Article 4 of the 25th Amendment provides that if the president fails to transfer or discharge his responsibilities, he can be removed from the presidency. So far this clause has never been used. But now it seems that using this clause, maybe Trump will be removed before his term expires.

With a majority of the country's vice president and cabinet it can be declared that the president has failed to discharge his responsibilities to remove him. If the president opposes the proposal, a two-thirds majority in both houses of parliament would be required.

The president can then be removed by handing over responsibility to the vice president. The only reassurance for Trump is that the amendment does not detail the criteria under which the president can be declared incompetent. Some leaders cite physical and mental well-being as the reason for this, while others have insisted on looking at the issue broadly. Let's see what happens next in the case of Trump.

Some experts in US politics were also considering filing a lawsuit against Trump.
