Vaccine passports will be released to give relief to the tourism industry

How much we saw, knew, heard and even found new things during the Corona virus period. A new name has now been added to this New Normal, which is the Vaccine Passport. Organizations like WHO and WEF are working on vaccine passports. However, the tourism industry has been hit hard by the corona virus, which has led to an emphasis on creating a vaccine passport.

UNWTO appeals to all countries

Many countries have banned international tourism in view of the Corona virus epidemic. Also, some countries have banned international travelers. So as to reduce the likelihood of coronary infection spreading. Due to which the tourism industry has been badly affected. Organizations like WHO and WEF are working on vaccine passports to address this issue. Which will be a universal passport. Meanwhile, the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has demanded that countries around the world apply for vaccine passports.

What is a vaccine passport?

Some countries allow international travel by following all the rules. This includes rules such as 14 days quarantine for tourists. Due to which people do not travel, which has an impact on the tourism industry. The vaccine passport can tell if the traveler has been vaccinated. This passport will only be available to those who have been vaccinated. The UNWTO and the Global Tourism Crisis Committee recently met in Spain. It was decided that the vaccine passport should be included in the required travel documents. According to the UNWTO, people will be certified as soon as they are vaccinated. So that they can travel.

Work on the passport has been going on for 6 months

Several international organizations, including the WHO, have been working on the Common Trust Network for about 6 months. Their aim is to develop a universal tool that can tell if a person traveling from one country to another has been vaccinated. Under which the vaccine passport will be finalized. The WHO has to play the biggest role in this matter, as they have to do the data processing.

The role of WHO

WHO will list such organizations from around the world. Which will issue an e-certificate of corona testing and vaccination. These organizations have to provide full information to the WHO about international travelers. Vaccination certificate, corona test and vaccine passport must also be uploaded on the WHO portal. The WHO will check whether this certificate and passport are authentic. The traveler's QR code will then be revealed, which they can use to travel.
