President Ram Nath Kovinde donated Rs 5 lakh for the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya.

Ahmedabad-based diamond trader Govindbhai Dhodhakia, who has long been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, donated Rs 11 crore. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan wrote one lakh rupees. Contributions for the Ram temple started from today. It was inaugurated by the President.

A spokesman for the Ram Mandir Trust said donations would also be accepted from Muslims who would like to contribute out of love.

On the other hand, veteran Congress leaders and former chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh said that the idea of ​​the Ram temple was originally from Rajiv Gandhi and the Congress also started raising funds for the Ram temple.

Some Muslim leaders also announced to raise funds for the Ram temple. Worship of Lord Rama and Hanumanji is also performed in many Muslim areas of Uttar Pradesh. Muslim women regularly recite Sundarkandi.
