The Ministry of Health suspended the polio campaign amid corona vaccination

The corona vaccination campaign is going to start in the country from January 16. Which is now having an impact on other vaccination campaigns in the country. The Ministry of Health has made an important decision to postpone the polio campaign due to corona vaccination. Polio Vaccination Day was to be celebrated across the country on January 17, which has been postponed till further orders. This was informed by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

The health ministry said the decision to suspend the polio campaign was taken due to contingency activities. The teams that worked for the polio campaign will now work for corona vaccination. It may be mentioned that a large scale polio vaccination campaign is being carried out in India. Due to which India became polio free on March 27, 2014. Even then, polio vaccination has been introduced as part of precaution. So that no child becomes a victim of polio.

Millions of children are vaccinated against polio every year. India runs the world's largest polio campaign. So far it has been rock solid enough. It has been postponed till the next order of the Ministry of Health. This is due to the fact that it is most important to fight the Corona epidemic at present.
