The government of Madhya Pradesh has undergone a third expansion, some others want a ministerial post

- Shivraj Singh's headache is still there

Bhopal on 4th January 2021 Monday

On Sunday, about 53 days after the by-elections in Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh expanded his cabinet for the third time. However, her headache did not end there.

Some people are still vying for the PM's job and if they are not satisfied, it could pose a threat to Shivraj Singh's government. Tulsiram and Govind Singh, two supporters of Jyotiraditya Scindia, got the ministerial post in Sunday's expansion. But the so-called senior BJP leaders were left without a ministerial post. When Scindia left the Congress and joined the BJP, it was decided that her supporters would have to be saved. Scindia has been made a Rajya Sabha MP and was rumored to have a seat in the Union Cabinet.

Senior BJP leaders had stepped up pressure on Shivraj but he has yet to get the ministry post. There were still four vacancies in the cabinet. Originally, Scindia joined the BJP with 22 of her supporters in March last year, so it collapsed when Kamal Nath's government fell into the minority. BJP's Shivraj Singh Chauhan became the Chief Minister for the fourth time. However, one thing became clear then that Singhiya's supporters would have to be sustained by giving him the ministry post. Five ministers were sworn in when Shivraj first expanded the cabinet. These included Tulsiram and Govind Singh Rajput. However, the two resigned in the absence of an election in six months.

When Scindia's three supporters, Imartidevi, Giriraj Dandotia and Andal Singh Kansha, lost by-elections in November last year to 28 seats in the Assembly, he had to resign from the ministry. Thus five ministerial posts were vacated simultaneously. One ministry was already vacant. Even though six ministerial posts were vacant, only two ministers were sworn in on Sunday. Both were Scindia supporters. Shivraj has not yet given the ministry post to a single BJP leader.

BJP's Rajendra Shukla, Girish Gautam, Kedarnath Shukla, Gaurishankar, Bisen, Sanjay Pathak, Ajay Bishnoi, Rampal Singh, Malini Gowda, etc. are all waiting to become ministers. Shivraj Singh's headache seems to have remained the same. If the BJP members are not given ministerial posts and those people get annoyed and take a drastic step, Shivraj's government may fall.
