- Exercised by dropping a dummy missile on the target

New Delhi 22nd January 2021 Friday

Raphael planes roared in the Indo-Pakistan border area on Thursday. The planes dropped a dummy missile on their target and destroyed the target.

The Sukhoi-30 and Mirage-2000 aircraft also conducted a military exercise on the occasion. Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat also flew in a fighter plane. A joint exercise of the Indian and French air forces is currently underway in the Jodhpur area of Rajasthan. The exercise has been dubbed ‘Exercise Desert Night 21’.

India's Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat himself was present to boost the morale of the troops of both the countries. The joint exercise began on Wednesday. The Indian Air Force's Raphael, Sukhoi-30 and Mirage 2000 aircraft were roaring in the sky with thunder and destroying their targets. Defense experts believe that Raphael and Sukhoi are 30 fighter jets capable enough to defend the Indian skies.

Raphael, Airbus A330 Multirole Tacker Transport and A-400M Tactical Transport aircraft from the French Air Force were involved in the joint exercise. The joint exercise took place while the Indian Air Force was showing operational readiness at all its bases. In addition to Raphael from India, Sukhoi-30 and Mirage-2000 aircraft were involved in the joint exercise.

The Indian Air Force had alerted all its bases after a clash with China on India's Ladakh border. Some fighter jets were also shot down at the border.

During the joint exercise with France, the air forces of the two countries exchanged information on the defects of fighter jets. For the last seven years, India and France have been holding such joint exercises. The French embassy said before the exercise that four Rafalees, two Atlas military transport aircraft Phoenix A330 multirole tanker transport aircraft and 170 Air Force personnel would participate from us.

India had agreed to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets from France in 2016. The first four Raphaels met the Indian Air Force in July last year.
