Raid on Paul Dinakaran's institute, anonymous assets worth Rs 118 crore

Paul Dinakaran has been targeted by the Income Tax Department for promoting Christianity in India on a large scale. The Income-tax department has raided their institutions. A total of 25 raids have uncovered anonymous assets worth Rs 118 crore. The raids were carried out on January 20 at 25 locations in Chennai and Coimbatore belonging to Dinakaran's organization Jesus Calls Ministry.

Dinakaran is the president of the institute, whose work is spread across other parts of the world. He is also the chancellor of a university. The raid continued till Saturday. The income tax department also recovered 4.8 kg of gold from Dinakaran's house. Which is currently in the process of verification. An investigation is also underway into the foreign funds received by Dinakaran.

Dinakaran's father founded the university and the missionary institution Jesus Coles Ministry. After his death in 2008, these institutions are now run by Paul Dinakaran. His family has a good influence in Tamil Nadu. He also has good relations with all political parties.
