Pakistan is waiting for the corona vaccine to be developed in India

Islamabad, Ta. Monday 18 January 2021

Pakistan's Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) on Sunday approved the emergency use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. Pakistan has approved the vaccine but their problem is that the Astrazeneka vaccine is being manufactured at India's Serum Institute. Pakistan could not get the vaccine as per the bilateral agreement, forcing them to look for another alternative.

According to media reports, Pakistan could receive the vaccine being developed in India under the World Health Organization's Covex system. Apart from this, Pakistan may also approve China's synopharm vaccine next week.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on Dr. "We have approved the AstraZeneca vaccine as it is 90 per cent effective and we are considering another option to ensure its availability," Faisal told Sultan. We can receive the vaccine under Covex after Drape's approval.

Covex is a joint initiative of the World Health Organization and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization. According to this, it has been decided to provide free vaccine to 20% of the population of 190 countries. Including Pakistan. When Dr. Asked about the trade ban with India along with Faisal, he said life-saving drugs could be imported despite the ban.

It is true that the countries that are producing the vaccine will give priority to their own people first but we will try to get the vaccine. Apart from this, we will also register some more vaccines including Synoform. Our population is high so we are considering vaccinating some countries including China.
