In Mumbai, the crime branch has busted a gang that used to buy and sell newborn babies. Police have arrested a total of nine people in the case, including seven women and two men. Among those arrested are a doctor, a nurse and a lab technician.

An official of the Crime Branch said that the gang used to buy children from their parents for Rs 60,000 to Rs 1.50 lakh and later sell them for Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. The gang sold the baby to couples who did not have children.

Among those arrested by the crime branch are Rupali Verma (30), Gulshan Khan (38), Nisha Ahir (38), Gitanjali Gaekwad (38, nurse), Aarti Singh (29, lab technician) and Dhananjay Boge (58, doctor). Is included. Police have kept the names of the other three accused secret. Of which two accused are the birth mother and one accused has bought the child.

The official said he had received information that some people in the Kherwadi area of ​​Bandra had sold the newborns. So some people have helped them sell the baby. The trap was then set by the Crime Branch and three people were arrested. Their interrogation revealed information about the gang.
