Netherlands orders killing of 50,000 goats, 95 killed due to goat contact pneumonia

Fifty thousand goats were reportedly ordered to be killed by the Dutch government following pneumonia caused by exposure to goats.

On one side is corona infection and thousands of people were infected with corona. However vaccination has already started there. Meanwhile, there were shocking reports that a number of people living in the Southern Netherlands had symptoms of pneumonia.

In fact there are a number of goat farms in the area. Experts believe that exposure to goats can cause pneumonia. People were now afraid that the contact of goats would not bring a new epidemic. In fact the last twelve years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of goat abortions in the Southern Netherlands. There are several dairy farms in the area. Goat samples were sent to veterinary specialists after abortion cases escalated. Nine out of 10 samples turned out to be harmless. The incidence of respiratory quinoa fever was finally confirmed in 2008 in the province of Noord-Brant in the Netherlands. The disease was found in sheep and goats and other lactating animals.

The incidence of Q and pneumonia among the people had started. The Dutch government had earlier ordered the killing of 50,000 goats. Some people even reported having a heart attack from the infection. So far 95 people have been reported to have died from the infection. Experts were of the opinion that the outbreak of pneumonia in particular started from goat farms.

Twenty to 55 percent of people living around a goat farm showed symptoms of pneumonia. The infection was found in people living in an area of ​​one to one and a half kilometers around the perimeter of the farm.

Bird flu was found in some areas in India and some chickens were forced to be killed, leading to a situation where goats were destroyed in the Southern Netherlands.
