Mamata Banerjee to return to West Bengal, claims Sea Water survey

- Elections will be held in four states this year

New Delhi Dated 19th January 2021 Tuesday

Legislative elections are to be held in at least four states and one union territory this year. However, all eyes are on West Bengal. The BJP is dreaming of defeating Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. But a recent poll claimed that Mamata Banerjee would return to power.

The Election Commission has not yet announced the dates of the Kai state elections but political activities in West Bengal had increased. Apart from the BJP and the Trinamool Congress, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also stepped up his campaign in Kolkata. The results of a poll conducted by Sea Water before the election was announced showed that Mamata Banerjee would return to power. The survey also claimed that the BJP would be in a better position than it is now in West Bengal.

According to a Sea Water poll, Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress will lose about two per cent of the vote and about 53 seats. According to the ABP Sea Water Survey, the Trinamool Congress is likely to get 158 seats this time. It won 211 seats in the last election. The BJP won three seats in the last election. But this time the BJP could win about 102 seats, according to the poll results. In the last elections, the BJP got 10.2 per cent votes. This time, the BJP is expected to get 37.5 per cent of the vote, according to the survey. The survey says the Left and Congress will suffer greatly. The two parties are expected to get a total of 11.8 per cent of the vote this time around, compared to 32 per cent last time.

It can be said that BJP will have to work hard after this survey. However, such surveys are often completely wrong. Surveys and opinion polls are never one hundred percent true. But Mamata Banerjee needs to wake up. The survey did not provide any details about Asaduddin Owaisi.

Mamata Banerjee was chosen by the people as the Chief Minister. On the issue of selection of Chief Minister, Mamata got 48.8 per cent votes. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh came second in the selection of the chief minister and world-renowned cricketer Sourav Ganguly came third.
