Jihadi militants struck in the border villages of Niger and Mali on Sunday, killing at least 100 villagers.

Niger's Prime Minister Brigitte Rafini confirmed the news of the attack. He visited the village concerned and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.

Local officials said two militants were killed by villagers in the Tilaberi area. Jihadi terrorists struck in retaliation. Terrorists linked to Boko Haram, Islamic State and al Qaeda continue to attack these areas at any time.

There is a constant presence of local and international armed forces in these areas. Yet at any time Islamic terrorists strike. So far, thousands of newcomers have been beaten and lost their lives.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Niger once again announced the presidential election. None of the 28 candidates in the first round of the presidential election on Saturday had a majority, forcing a fresh presidential election, the Election Commission said.
