In the United States, a young man who spent 28 years in prison without charge was fined Rs. 72 crore compensation

The government has paid a whopping Rs 72 crore (98 98 million) for 28 years in prison for the murder of an innocent black man in the United States.

The main witness in the murder case was a man named Chester Holman III. In the testimony given in 1991, he was trapped by lying. She was 21 at the time. However, after a lengthy legal battle, Chester was finally acquitted and was 49 years old when he was released last year.

After his acquittal, Chester Holman III sued the government for compensation. After which the Philadelphia administration announced to give him a huge amount. However, under the agreement reached between the two parties, neither the government nor any government employee admitted their mistake.
