Fatehpur in Rajasthan breaks 10-year cold record, tree branches freeze

The situation in Rajasthan was increasing day by day. On Thursday, the cold broke a ten-year record and minus four degrees.

This caused the branches of the trees to freeze. It has been freezing cold for the last four days this week. It was minus 2.6 degrees on Monday, minus 3.2 degrees on Tuesday, minus three degrees on Wednesday and minus four degrees on Thursday.

On Thursday, December 31, the cold broke a ten-year record. There was a glimmer of snow on the branches of the trees. Omprakash Kalshe, an official with the Meteorological Department at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Center, said cold winds from the north were unlikely to ease the current cold in the area.

The mercury reached minus four degrees in Fatehpur on Thursday. The cold snap broke a ten-year record, a meteorological official said. The official said there may still be some rain on Friday as cold winds continue to blow from the north. Such rainy weather was likely to last till the fourth of January.

There was no possibility of relief in Jaipur, Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Tonk, Kota, Bundi, Dhaulpur etc. areas of Rajasthan. In addition to freezing cold for three or four days, light rain was also expected.

Disaster management teams were also ordered to be ready in some areas. Every district administration was alerted and people were urged to be ready to help, a government source said.
