Don't take covacin if you have low immunity or get sick, factsheet published by Bharat Biotech

According to a fact sheet released by Bharat Biotech, the maker of the covacin vaccine that protects against the corona virus, those who already have low immunity or suffer from a serious illness should not take covacin immediately.

Covexin vaccine of Bharat Biotech was approved by the Drug Controller of India (DCGI) for emergency use. However, some people are currently debating the effectiveness of Covexin and its date. Bharat Biotech issued a factsheet on Monday giving some warnings to the public. The fact sheet specifically instructed no one to take covexin.

According to the fact sheet, people who have been suffering from allergies, fever, low immunity, have suffered from any serious illness for the last few years and pregnant women and breastfeeding women should not take Covexin.

The reason behind this clarification was that the government had recently announced that even people with low immunity could get the corona vaccine. However, during the trial of the vaccine, such people were found to be less affected by the vaccine.

Usually taking chemotherapy as a treatment for cancer. People who are HIV positive and those who take steroids have low immunity. Such people are known as immuno-suppressed. Such people are at higher risk of infection. The government also recommended vaccinating people with low immunity. Bharat Biotech advised such people not to get vaccinated.

This means that such people should not even get another company's vaccine. The matter was not clarified by any other company.
