More than once, when China attempted to infiltrate Indian territory, Indian troops were forced to retreat despite tight equipment and inadequate weapons.

China had arranged for 10,000 armed men to move around the Ladakh border, especially near Lake Pangong. Indian troops chased them all out more than once. With the onset of winter, the Chinese army withdrew immediately due to the deadly cold in the Ladakh region.
