Reports have been circulating for the last two to three days that farmers protesting against the new agricultural law have provoked the demolition of about 1,500 communication towers in Punjab, angering Reliance and the Ambani family. According to reliable sources at the time, all these towers were sold by Reliance.

The information came to light when so-called peasant leaders were propagating that the new agricultural laws were designed to benefit industrialists Ambani and Adani. Demolition had started in Punjab and about 1500 mobile phone towers were demolished. But according to the latest information, none of these towers are now owned by Reliance. Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LPA, a Canadian company, bought a 100 per cent stake in Tower Karbara for Rs 25,215 crore, so the damage it was supposed to do to the Ambani family was actually done by a foreign company.

Geo had 1 lakh 35 thousand towers across the country which was operated by a company called Geo Infratel. It was being propagated among the farmers that the Modi government had framed these agricultural laws to benefit Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. For the last 32-33 days, the farmers have been protesting on the Delhi border. His only demand is to repeal the new laws when the government says in no uncertain terms that these laws will not be repealed in any way. Earlier so-called farmers had stopped trains in Punjab and Haryana. Currently, roads are blocked in parts of Delhi in such a way that traffic is blocked. They were provided with separate anchorage (kitchen), Kisan Mall, bedding equipment, mobile phone charging equipment and all other facilities.

However, some so-called peasants had demolished 1,500 towers in Punjab. Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed not to damage public property in the name of agitation but the rioters did not comply. However, the people of Punjab were suffering as the mobile phone service was disrupted. The Cellular Operators Association of India had sought security from the Punjab government for the protection of the towers.
