New delhi date. Tuesday 22 December 2020

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday attended the centenary celebrations of Aligarh Muslim University. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address said that whatever belongs to this country, belongs to every countryman and everyone should get the benefit. PM Modi's statement is being seen as a response to a statement made by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In which he spoke of the first right of the country's property minorities.

Addressing the centenary celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the work of his government. At the same time, he enumerated the schemes through which every citizen of the country is getting benefit.

Meanwhile, in his address, PM Modi said, "Sir Syed's message is to serve everyone, regardless of their religion or caste." In the same way, for every prosperity of the country, it needs to have development at every level. Today every citizen is getting the benefit of development without any discrimination. The PM said that the biggest mantra is to be confident about the rights enshrined in the civil constitution, with the support of all, development and trust. What belongs to the country belongs to every countryman and its benefits should be enjoyed by all.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh made a statement during the first tenure of the UPA, which was much debated. Addressing a meeting of the National Development Council in December 2006, Manmohan Singh said that the country's minorities have the first right to resources here.

In his address, Manmohan Singh said that all the backward and minority sections of the society, especially Muslims, need to be empowered to ensure equal participation in the benefits of development, the first right to the country's resources belongs to them.

The Bharatiya Janata Party was in opposition and made a big fuss over the statement. The BJP accused the Congress and the then UPA government of appeasing Muslims. Not only then but for a long time the BJP was bouncing this statement.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering at Aligarh Muslim University. So I linked his statement with this statement of Manmohan. After Lal Bahadur Shastri, Narendra Modi is the only Prime Minister who participated in the Aligarh Muslim University program.
