New delhi date. 13 December 2020, Sunday

Today marks 19 years since the attack on the Parliament of India, the world's largest democracy. Even after this the incident becomes fresh every year with this day for the families who were martyred in the attack. Terrorist Afzal Guru, convicted in the incident, was hanged on February 9, 2013 in Delhi's Tihar Jail.

While former Delhi University professor S.A.R. Gilani was acquitted after a lengthy legal battle. He also died of a heart attack in October 2019.

The attack on Parliament was the result of a grand conspiracy. The mastermind of this conspiracy was not one but many people. The incident was carried out by five terrorists with the aim of killing as many terrorists as possible present in Parliament. But all these terrorists were killed by the security personnel.

The proceedings on the attack on the country's parliament lasted about 45 minutes. This was the first attack on the country's parliament. Which made the whole country a manuscript. The attack involved five Jaish-e-Mohammed militants. The CRPF's female constable and MP's two guards and five Delhi Police personnel were killed in the plot. Apart from this, 16 passengers were injured.

The coffin scandal was being debated in Parliament at the time of the attack which led to a majority of MPs present in Parliament and caused a huge uproar in Parliament during the debate. Meanwhile, terrorists attacked Parliament. Our MPs sitting in Parliament understood the firing of the terrorists as fireworks at first but they were scared when the fact of the attack came before them.

Afzal Guru mentioned this in an interview about the attack. He admitted in the interview that he had helped the terrorists and that he himself had taken terrorist training in Pakistan. He was sentenced to death by the Delhi High Court in 2002 and by the Supreme Court in 2006 for plotting the attack. Despite all this, the mastermind of the attack is Azad in Pakistan. India has repeatedly handed over evidence of the incident to Pakistan but Pakistan has been ignoring it.
