Some problems with Pfizer vaccine production: America

Washington, Ta. Thursday, December 17, 2020

The first day of Pfizer's corona vaccination during the Corona epidemic in America was fraught with many problems. In the largest vaccination program ever in American history, the American system faced a number of problems, including storing the vaccine in extremely cold temperatures on the first day.

Pfizer, on the other hand, could also face some problems in vaccine production, U.S. officials said. U.S. Army Gen. Gustav Perna said some doses of the Pfizer vaccine, delivered in California, were minus 80C. After storing at such a low temperature it needed to be replaced.

Pfizer's vaccine with partner Bioentech is designed to keep it around minus 70C. He added that officials have begun investigating whether storing the vaccine in extremely cold temperatures would pose a risk to safety or efficiency. Pfizer also told Alex Azhar, secretary of American Health and Human Services, that there were some problems with the product.

"We will provide full cooperation so that the company can produce more vaccines for the American people," Azar said. However, US officials did not say to Pfizer what problems the vaccine was having.

U.S. officials said they plan to allocate 2 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine next week. In addition, 59 lakh doses of Moderna Inc. vaccine are likely to be given.

The modern vaccine is expected to receive official recognition soon. The U.S. government is in talks with the company to obtain a further one million doses of Pfizer. America had earlier contracted with Pfizer to buy an additional 50 million doses.
