- Tensions at the border have been high for the past few months

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that talks with China on India's Ladakh border during the last few months have not yielded any tangible results.

"We had more than one round of talks with China but it has not yielded any tangible results," he told the media this morning. We are still negotiating with China. Army officer level discussions are coming up soon. The discussions that have taken place so far have not yielded any positive or tangible results. The situation today was as tense as ever.

He said that if any country forcibly implements its territorial policy, we have the power to respond to it. We do not intrude into anyone's territory or try to usurp anyone's land. Tensions between India and China have long been high over the border. China has been trying to occupy our territory for a long time. But now the Indian government had given full leeway to its own army that if anything happened on our border, the army would face it in its own way. India is ready to protect its citizens and real estate. We always kept our army ready not to attack anyone but for self-defense.

It should be noted here that since April this year, China has been maneuvering on India's Ladakh border and more than once the Chinese army has tried to infiltrate Indian soil. Each time the Indian army chased away the Chinese troops and set up outposts on its border. Even today, large numbers of troops from both the countries can be seen stationed on the border. China, as is its old habit, pretends to negotiate on the one hand and its military on the other. This time, the Indian military strongly opposed China's policy.
