Mamata accuses BJP of being behind Owaisi, BJP is using it as a pawn to win Muslim votes

- BJP has spent crores of rupees behind Owaisi

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had alleged that the BJP was bringing Asaduddin Owaisi to West Bengal with the intention of dividing Hindu-Muslim votes and benefiting the BJP.

He also alleged that Owaisi was a pawn of the BJP and that the BJP was spending crores of rupees behind it. If Muslim votes are divided, BJP will get huge benefits. At present, Muslim votes were getting to the Trinamool Congress, so the BJP was not good.

West Bengal Assembly elections are to be held in 2021. With just six months to go before the polls, Mamata Banerjee's allies are abandoning her. In it, Owaisi disrupted Mamata's sleep by announcing that she would contest the West Bengal elections. Mamata was adamant that Owaisi was ready to contest the West Bengal elections at the behest of the BJP.

In the recent Bihar Assembly elections, Owaisi won five seats in areas bordering West Bengal. So Mamata is embarrassed. Mamata was addressing a gathering in Jalpaiguri. He insisted that Owaisi was acting at the behest of the BJP.
