ISRO launches communications satellite to be useful in disaster management and net connectivity

ISRO has made one more launch during the Corona period. ISRO has launched India's 42nd communications satellite on Thursday. This satellite will help in disaster management and internet connectivity. This is the second launch by ISRO in the Corona period.

The PSLV-C50 rocket took off from space at 3.41pm on Thursday from the second launch site at Shri Harikota. The 25-hour countdown to the launch of the communications satellite began on Wednesday. This is the 52nd mission of the polar satellite launch vehicle.

The Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) located in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh is also called SHAR. CMS-01 is ISRO's 42nd communications satellite and is designed to serve the extended C band of the frequency spectrum covering mainland India, Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep.
