India's exports continued to decline, falling 8.74 per cent to 23 23.52 billion in November


China's exports up 21.1 per cent, imports up 4.5 per cent in November: trade surplus 75.4 billion

India's exports fell 8.74 per cent to 23 23.52 billion in November 2020, according to official data released today. The country's total exports declined by 8.74 per cent in November on the back of lower exports from key sectors such as petroleum, engineering and chemicals.

On the other hand, India's imports also declined in November 2020. Imports fell 13.32 per cent to 33 33.39 billion in November. The trade deficit narrowed to 8 9.87 billion in November.

During the April-November period of fiscal 2020-21, exports fell by 17.76 per cent to 173.66 billion. Imports fell 33.55 per cent to 21 215.69 billion during the same period. The trade deficit for the eight-month period from April to November stood at 42 42 billion. Which was 3 113.42 billion in the same period last year. Oil imports fell 43.36 per cent to 6. 6.27 billion in November.

On the other hand, China's exports rose 21.1 percent in November. This increase is the highest since February, 2018. China's imports also rose 4.5 per cent in November. As a result, its trade surplus has been 75.4 billion.

In November, India's exports of petroleum products declined by 59.7 per cent, engineering by 8.1 per cent, chemicals by 8.1 per cent and readymade garments by 1.2 per cent. Exports of pharma goods grew by 11.1 per cent, gems and jewelery by 4.1 per cent and electrical goods by 1 per cent.
