India became the fourth country in the world to recognize the indigenous navigation system internationally

India has achieved a new milestone in the field of navigation. India has now joined the club of four countries that have their own navigation system. The navigation system developed by India's space agency ISRO has gained international recognition.

It has been recognized as a worldwide radio navigation system by the International Maritime Organization. Thus, the Indian system can be used for navigation at sea.

India has previously used US GPS, Russia's GLONASS and China's Beidou navigation system. Now India has become the fourth country to develop its own system. This system will also be used for. The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System is capable of providing accurate information within a range of 1500 kilometers from the borders of the country.

According to ISRO, eight satellites are being used to keep the system operational. Work is also underway to use the system in new mobile phones. Thus, the system will soon be available through smartphones as well.
