Import duty on Chinese goods not to be reduced: US President Joe Biden's announcement

US President-elect Joe Biden made it clear that he was not going to reduce import duties on Chinese goods. Thus, the water had turned again on Chon's hopes.

After Donald Trump lost the presidential election, China hoped that Biden would overturn Trump's decision, but Biden clarified the issue of China's goods.

Speaking to a New York Times reporter, he said that even the trade agreements initiated by the Trump administration with China are not going to be canceled at present. However, it would be my policy to keep America's interests in the foreseeable future.

Biden also said he would keep all options open without compromising his personal prejudices. Keeping America's interests to the maximum will be my priority.
