Amid the ongoing farmers' agitation in the capital New Delhi, a special branch of the Delhi Police raided the Shakarpura area and nabbed five militants. Two of the five belonged to the Khalistani group in Punjab and three to the Islamist group in Jammu and Kashmir, police told media.

Punjabi militants were involved in the assassination of Tarn Taran Shaurya Chakra winning military officer Balwinder Singh Sandhu. Sandhu fought the Jivastosat against Khalistani terrorism in Punjab. Sandhu was killed in Tarn Taran some time ago. Police were interrogating the arrested terrorists. The two were identified as Sukhbir Singh and Gurjit Singh. Both are residents of Gurdaspur in Punjab.

The police believe that the arrested terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir are involved in the illicit trafficking of drugs and weapons. They were identified as Ayub Khan, Shabbir and Riaz. All of these were being interrogated. The three Kashmiris were working under the guidance of Pakistan's notorious ISI.
