Amravati (Maharashtra) Dated 23rd December 2020 Wednesday

Shocking news came from Maharashtra's Amravati district as thousands of farmers in the capital New Delhi were protesting against the new agriculture law.

A family growing oranges lives in the Amravati district of Maharashtra. Like every year, this year Ashok Bhuyar of this family harvested oranges. The merchant who had promised to take the goods went to the merchant, but he refused to take the crop. When Ashok insisted, he first made him drink alcohol and then beat him severely.

Ashok Bhuyar went to the police station to lodge a complaint as the trader seemed to have betrayed him. The police officer also beat him up. Ashok was shocked and committed suicide. Before his death, he had written a letter to Bachu Kaddu, Minister of State for Education, Government of Maharashtra. Bachu Kaddu is also a big farmer. Coincidentally, Bachu Kaddu went to Delhi in the context of the peasant movement. Under these circumstances, Ashok lost his courage and shortened his life.

Ashok's younger brother, who was returning home after completing his funeral, had a heart attack and also died. The family was in big trouble when the two men left at the same time.
