India has struck a deal to buy S-400 missiles from Russia. America, as is its custom, objects to this deal. So now the US has threatened sanctions on India. Meanwhile, Russia's ambassador to India Nikolai Kudshev said today that Russia would supply S-400 missiles to the United States no matter what.

India and Russia struck a 5.4 billion deal in October 2018 for the deadly S-400 air defense system. The missile system is expected to reach India by the end of 2021. The United States has objected to the missile system being sold because it is extremely powerful. The Russian ambassador said that in addition to the missiles, if India is ready, Russia is also ready to sell KA-226 helicopters and AK-203 rifles.

Nikolai said the S-400 deal is moving forward as per its scheduled timetable. The United States last week banned Turkey from buying S-400s from Russia.

India's entire missile system is expected to meet in five years, starting in 2021. Nikolai said the sanctions would be decided after Biden came to power, so there was no need to worry.
