Countdown to corona vaccine begins in the country

- About one and a half lakh people died

Preparations for vaccinating against corona had already begun. Reliable information was received that the vaccination program will start from January 2021.

Corona has so far killed 1.43 million people and affected about 9.8 million. Three companies in the country were busy making corona vaccines and the Prime Minister himself visited these three companies and encouraged the vaccine makers.

Now Adar Poonawala, CEO of Serum Institute of India, claimed that by the end of this month, we were likely to get permission for emergency use of Corona vaccine. The Serum Institute was working with Oxford-AstraZeneca in England to develop the corona covshield vaccine. In addition, Pfizer India and Bharat Biotech were also developing corona vaccines.

Kovishield completed a three-stage trial and also applied for emergency use of the vaccine in India and England. Bharat Biotech vaccine is being developed in Hyderabad. He also sought permission for emergency use. The India unit of Pfizer, a company that had started giving vaccines in the US, had also sought permission from the Drug Controller of India for emergency use of its vaccines in India.

Poonawala of the Serum Institute believes that if the vaccination program is implemented on time, India will be completely free of corona by September-October 2021.
