- Owaisi came to vote early in the morning

Hyderabad Ta. Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Voting for the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections began in a peaceful atmosphere this morning. Asaduddin Owaisi of the All India Ittehadun Majlis-e-Muslimeen, an MP from the area, came to the polls early in the morning.

This election is not going to change the course of national politics, but the BJP was all set to expand its foothold in the South this time and sent top leaders to Hyderabad to campaign. Such leaders included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Smriti Irani.

However, the BJP is well aware of the fact that the TRS and Owaisi are so strong in Telangana that their chances of victory here are slim. But he struggled to figure out what to do with the effort. It is also a fact that based on the BJP's performance in this election, it will formulate a strategy for next year's Assembly elections in West Bengal.

1122 candidates are in the fray for the seats of this corporation divided into 150 wards. The results will be announced on December 4. Today 44 lakh four thousand 260 voters will cast their votes. The TRS is the only party that fielded candidates for all the seats.
