BJP MP Sunny Deol gets Y category security

Actor-cum-BJP MP Sunny Deol was given Y category security by the central government. Now 11 Jawans and two PSOs will be with him.

Sunny is an MP from Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab. The agitating farmers have threatened to surround BJP MPs and MLAs, so Sunny was given security. It was argued that Gurdaspur is an area on the border of India and Pakistan so there is a risk of an attack on Sunny. Sunny frequently visits her constituency.

Sunny was given the protection as Punjab, Haryana and some states in northern India are believed to have an anti-BJP atmosphere.
