Cold mercury has dropped below zero in most parts of Kashmir. On the other hand, the minimum temperature has dropped below 10 degrees Celsius in most parts of northern India. Delhi has seen the coldest November in 71 years. The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in southern Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
According to the meteorological department, a depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal. Due to which heavy rains are expected between the second and third of December.
The hurricane will cross the coast of Sri Lanka on the evening of the second of December. Heavy rains are expected in Kanyakumari and adjoining areas of Tamil Nadu on December 3.
The hurricane is expected to bring rains to Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Andhra Pradesh's southern coast and Lakshadweep between December 1 and 4.
According to the National Weather Forecasting Agency, November is the coldest month in Delhi in 71 years. In November this year, Delhi recorded an average minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius. The average minimum temperature in Delhi in November is around 12.9 degrees Celsius. The average minimum temperature in November last year was 15 degrees Celsius.
Delhi, on the other hand, recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 307 today. The minimum temperatures in Srinagar and Gulmarg in Kashmir were recorded at minus 1.3 and minus 3 degrees Celsius respectively.
Mount Abu was the coldest in Rajasthan with a temperature of 2 degrees Celsius. Churu recorded 5.5 degrees Celsius, Sikar 6 degrees Celsius, Pilani 7.1 degrees Celsius and Bhilwara 8 degrees Celsius. Kalong in Himachal Pradesh recorded a low of minus 2.6 degrees Celsius.
