‘Where were all these when farmers were looting for 70 years’, the intermediary shops are closing

- The agriculture expert gave his opinion in the discussion of the TV channel

New Delhi Dated 28th November 2020 Saturday

Farmers have been robbed for the last 70 years. An agronomist asked where the protesters were today.

Speaking on a TV channel about the violent protests in Punjab, Haryana and other states, the agronomist said that the intermediaries who were closing their shops were shouting in the name of farmers today. They have nothing to do with agriculture.

The central government recently enacted three new agricultural laws. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. Farmers will continue to be robbed by this law. Attending a TV channel's church about it, the agronomist questioned where all this was when farmers had been looted for the last 70 years. Now when their shops were being locked, they were making a fuss.

Vijay Sardana, an agronomist from Punjab, explained his point with an argument. He said, 'When you buy a vegetable for fifty rupees, the farmer gets only five rupees. The rest of the money is eaten by middlemen and shopkeepers. This has been happening for the last 70 years. Where was all this so far. Why not come out to fight for the interests of the farmers. Now the government has enacted a law that if a farmer does not get the full value of his goods in the market, he can sell them outside. Explain what is wrong and where. '

Congress member Abhay Dubey was outraged to hear this from Vijay Sardana. He said the worst situation was with farmers in Bihar where the BJP and NDA ruled. Soon Vijay Sardana said that if the farmers of Bihar are upset then why the protests are taking place in Punjab and Haryana. Why there are no demonstrations in Bihar.
