The Indian Army had a great achievement in Assam. According to the Army Intelligence Service, the dangerous leader of ULFA (United Liberation Front of Assam) Dhrishti Rajkhowa and four other terrorists surrendered during the counter-terrorism operation.

Apart from Rajkhowa, Vedanta, Yasin Asom, Ropajyoti Asom and Mithun Asom also surrendered. The army received a large quantity of ammunition from them. For the last few months, the Indian Army has been trying to catch up with these habitual terrorists. Anti-terrorism measures were being taken based on intelligence provided by the military intelligence service. In ULFA, Rajkhowa was at number one. Police as well as security forces were on the lookout for some major terrorist incidents.

Rajkhowa was believed to be the right-wing ally of ULFA chief Paresh Barua. Rajkhowa had been hiding in Bangladesh for a long time. He had recently reached Meghalaya. He was last seen near Jaflong. Coincidentally, Pakistani militant Imran Siddiqui was also present at the time, so security forces suspected that the two were planning a major terrorist attack together. However, there was no evidence of a meeting between the two.

ULFA has been fighting for an independent Assam for many years. Since 1990, the central government has declared it a terrorist organization and outlawed its activities. The ULFA also shed as much blood as the Islamic terrorists.
