The election of the President should be done through digital means, a historic decision of the Congress

- There was a promise to give a permanent chairman in six months

New Delhi Dated 20th November 2020 Friday

It was formally announced that the country's national party, the Congress, had decided to elect its new president digitally.

When did Congress start issuing digital i-cards to its delegates? The party's memorial has recently reached a point where 23 senior leaders like Shashi Tharoor, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Kapil Sibal have written a letter to Sonia Gandhi demanding the formation of a permanent chairman and a new executive committee.

At that time, Sonia Gandhi had suppressed this revolt. But the party's Movdi Mandal realized it was no longer fun to stretch. That is why it was promised at that time that the party would get a permanent president by January 2021. The rebels were also indirectly told that the president did not necessarily belong to the Gandhi family.

Now that the year 2020 was fast approaching, it was announced that the presidential election would be held digitally in view of the Corona era. A spokesperson of the party's Central Election Authority said that if Rahul Gandhi was ready to accept the presidency, it would be considered that Rahul is the most popular and most acceptable leader. But if there is more than one candidate for the presidency, a vote will be taken.

A total of 1500 delegates from different parts of the country will cast their votes. A party spokesperson claimed that we had received delegates from all but two states. If there is more than one candidate, we will hold an election. The party was now ready for any outcome. We were preparing to give the party a permanent president as promised. Elections will be held if required.
