The central government told the Supreme Court that currently 77% of corona cases are reported in 10 states

The Center has informed the Supreme Court that about 77 per cent of the cases of corona virus in the country are from 10 states. The states with the highest number of coronavirus cases are Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh.

Maharashtra accounts for 18.9 per cent of the country's total cases. 14.7 per cent cases are from Kerala and 8.5 per cent from Delhi. West Bengal has 5.7 per cent active corona virus and Karnataka has 5.6 per cent cases.

The Center also told the apex court that India was conducting about 10 lakh Kovid 19 tests daily to detect coronavirus infection. At the same time, the court said that now is the time to take strict measures to implement policies, guidelines and standardized stenting procedures to curb the rising cases of corona virus infection in India.

The Center said that the current wave of Covid-19 seems tougher than before, so the court said, strict action needs to be taken. To cope with the Covid-19 epidemic situation, states have to fight the situation and move beyond politics. The bench has fixed December 1 for the next hearing of the case.

38734 active cases in Delhi

According to a report by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of active cases in India today stands at 4,55,555. At present, 4.89 per cent of India's total positive cases are active cases. Out of the total active cases, 70 per cent (69.59 per cent) are from eight states / UTs namely Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh. To date, Maharashtra has topped the Kovid with a total of 87,014 active cases. In Kerala, there are 64,615 active cases while in Delhi there are 38,734 active cases.
