Terrorists in cars open fire on security forces in Srinagar, 2 killed, 1 injured

A terrorist attack has taken place in the HMT area of ​​Srinagar, killing two Army personnel and injuring one. The assailants came in a car and opened fire on him on the way to the HMT area. The terrorists fled the scene after the attack. However, security personnel chased the car.

The injured security personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital after the terror attack where they were pronounced dead. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

According to IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, the initial probe has revealed that Jaish-e-Mohammed was behind the attack. He said more information on the matter would be available by evening. "Three of our soldiers were shot dead by three militants," the Kashmir IG said. Two soldiers were seriously wounded and later martyred. Jaish is very active here, we will get the information of the organization by evening. The armed terrorists fled in a car. Two of them are probably Pakistani and one is local.
