Terrorist attack in Kabul: 14 rockets fired, hit schools and residential areas

A terrorist attack took place this morning in the Afghan capital, Kabul. The militants fired more than 14 rockets at Maryam High School and a residential area in Kabul. According to preliminary reports, three people were killed and several others were injured.

The rockets were fired at ten residential buildings in Kabul's District Ten and at the Maryam School. The rockets were fired at Chahar Kala Power Tower, Tahiri Ale, Nemat Plaza, area near Salaam University, Golsorkh Crossroads and District Four's Sadrat Crossroads, Public Garden Bridge and Spin Jar Road near the National Archives.

Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Aria confirmed the attack, saying there had been a number of rocket attacks in residential areas of Kabul. People also tweeted on social media that the attack took place in the New City area.
