Rape accused publicly flogged 146 lashes, accused fainted

Amid talk of tightening rape laws in India, there are some countries that punish rapists harshly.

In Indonesia, for example, a child rapist was flogged 146 times. The sentence was continued even after the accused fainted.

It is worth mentioning that in Indonesia, a Muslim-majority state called Aseh, there are severe penalties for breaking Islamic law. Such laws are enforced here with the approval of the center. Think twice.

Punishment is also given here in public. People flock to see it. A 19-year-old man was accused of raping a child. He was later sentenced to be flogged in public. He was then treated by doctors and his sentence was resumed.

This type of punishment is supported by most of the people here. Apart from this, gambling or drinking alcohol is also severely punished.
