Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly set to step down next year due to health problems. According to the report, Russian scientist Valery Solovy said Putin's Parkinson's problem was increasing day by day.

Putin's 37-year-old girlfriend, Elena Kabechi, and his two daughters were pressuring Putin to step down.

"Putin has a lot of family influence," Solovy said, without naming anyone. This family has prepared by explaining to him that just do it now. Putin was expected to announce his retirement in January 2021. Solovy said Putin's Parkinson's was recently spotted at a ceremony while his legs were constantly shaking. A video clip also showed Putin trying to break the tips of his fingers.

Russia is currently proposing a law that would bar criminal proceedings against all former presidents. As long as the president lives, he has to provide protection against criminal cases. However, the proposal has not yet become law.
