Massive protests, lockouts and violence in European countries, with people taking to the streets

London, 4 November 2020, Wednesday

The second wave of corona has led to a second lockdown in a number of European countries.

In the first phase, people supported the lockdown but now the situation has changed. People are protesting against the lockdown by clashing with the police. The main reason behind the protest is the economic impact. People are now supporting the leaders who are opposing the lockdown.

In Britain, the Reform UK party has announced that its main agenda now will be to oppose the lockdown.

A full or partial lockdown has been imposed in Spain, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Britain, with the largest protests taking place in Spain and Belgium. Spain has also imposed a night curfew. However, there have been incidents of violations of sanctions in Spain since then. Looting has taken place in some places. Violence in Madrid has left 12 people injured.

In Belgium, some groups have called for the siege of the capital, Brussels, to lift sanctions against Corona. Clashes have also broken out in Italy between anti-lockdown protesters and police in various cities.

The reason for the anger of the people is that the people have to pay the price for the economy destroyed due to the lockdown.
