Incident in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: Explosion at a fireworks factory, four were burnt alive

Four people were burnt alive in an explosion at an illegal fireworks godown in Arya Samaj Mandir ward in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district this morning. The wall on one side of the building also collapsed.

According to the police, firecrackers were being made illegally in a Javed's house. There was a huge explosion in the house on Wednesday morning and the surrounding houses also shook. There were four people in the house with the fireworks and all four were burnt alive. When police and fire brigade arrived, there were explosives, fireworks and brick debris all around.

Homeowner Javed and three members of his family were burnt alive. He also suffered minor injuries to others working there. The wall of the adjoining building also collapsed.
