In the capital Delhi, farmers were attacked and some roads had to be closed for traffic

- Police were monitoring by drone

New Delhi Dated 26th November 2020 Thursday

The agitation by farmers in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh against the three new farming laws enacted by the central government last month and a half has not come to an end.

Today, on the supper day of Kartaki Ekadashi i.e. Devdivali, thousands of farmers attacked in Delhi. Farmers started arriving in Delhi from early morning. Even the trembling cold and heavy pollution could not stop them.

The crowd was so large that the police had to close some roads for traffic. Police were monitoring the huge front by drones so that the situation would not get out of hand. The Modi government had made it clear that these laws would not be withdrawn. These laws have been framed in the interest of the farmers.

Interestingly, there are opposing voices in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. Earlier, farmers in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh had joined the agitation but now it seems that they are away from the agitation.

To prevent more people from coming to Delhi, the police had deployed large police squads on all the entrances to Delhi. The whole of Delhi looked like a police camp.
