The Himachal Pradesh cabinet on Monday announced a night curfew in four districts, Shimla, Kullu, Mandi and Kangra, from 8 pm to 6 am, with effect from Tuesday, November 24.

The government has also decided to close all educational institutions till December 31. This order will also apply to schools, colleges, ITIs, coaching institutes. However, the decision will not apply to Himachal Pradesh University.

A meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on Monday decided to start online study from November 26 in educational institutions closed till December 31. In addition, the state government has decided to provide winter vacation in schools from the year 2021 till February 12.

Due to the Kovid epidemic, the number of Class-3 to Class-4 employees in all offices has been reduced to 50 per cent, and those who do not wear masks will be fined Rs 1,000. By December 15, all state buses will run at 50 per cent occupancy.
