Farmers are not from Pakistan, the government will solve their problem: Anna Hazare

New Delhi, 29 November 2020, Sunday

Gandhian social activist Anna Hazare has also come out in support of the farmers who have joined the agitation against the Modi government's new agriculture bill.

Farmers are protesting on the Delhi border and the government has rejected the offer of talks by Home Minister Amit Shah. The farmers have been supported by Anna Hazare. He said, "I support the demands of the farmers." It has become like India-Pakistan but the government should now talk to the farmers in the same way as it did when it was seeking votes after the elections.

He said that today the farmers are agitating non-violently but who will take the responsibility if the farmers resort to violence tomorrow. The farmers are not Pakistanis. The government should discuss with them. It is unfortunate for the country that the farmers are having to agitate. Farmers belong to our country. If you went to them at the time of elections to seek votes, now solve their problem.

Anna Hazare said that it was not right to water the farmers in the harsh winter. The government should hold a meeting with the farmers as soon as possible.
